About Riverton (Qld)
Riverton is a rural locality on the Queensland border with New South Wales. The Dumaresq River forms its eastern boundary, with Hynes Bridge providing a crossing to Mingoola in New South Wales, and Mount Bowman rising to 509 metres in the centre of the locality. The area is used for grazing and cropping, and a limestone mine operates in the northern part.
