About Cooranga
Cooranga is a sparsely populated rural locality about 54 kilometres north-north-east of Dalby, named from a pastoral run name reportedly derived from a Kabi language word meaning war spear. The Dalby-Jandowae Road runs along its western boundary, and the area lies in the dry pastoral and cropping country of the Western Downs.
