About Jimbour West

Jimbour West is a rural locality on the Darling Downs, about 45 kilometres north-north-west of Dalby, characterised by flat cropping country on fertile black soil plains. The wider Jimbour district is known for the heritage-listed Jimbour House completed in 1877 and as the departure point for Ludwig Leichhardt's 1844 overland expedition to Port Essington.
