About Walterhall

Walterhall is a residential locality in the Rockhampton Region of Queensland, adjoining Mount Morgan to the north-west, with the Burnett Highway passing to the east. It grew up around Walter Hall railway station, named in 1898 after Walter Russell Hall, a major shareholder in the Mount Morgan Gold Mining Company. The Walterhall State School operated from 1917 until about 1969, and local children now attend school in Mount Morgan.
