Baree is a compact rural locality in the Rockhampton Region, about 3 kilometres north of Mount Morgan and 35 kilometres south-south-west of Rockhampton. The Burnett Highway runs along its south-eastern boundary, and the area is closely associated with Mount Morgan's historic gold and copper mine.
