About Turkey Beach
Turkey Beach is a small coastal fishing village on a peninsula jutting into Rodds Bay in the Gladstone Region. The area is renowned for fishing and mud crabbing, with Eurimbula National Park lying between the bay and the Coral Sea. The name derives from bustards shot by Captain Cook's crew in 1770, and the village retains its character as one of the few remaining undeveloped coastal towns in the region.
