About Foreshores

Foreshores is a coastal rural locality in the Gladstone Region of Queensland, bounded to the north by the Coral Sea. It takes in a mainland section and Hummock Hill Island, separated by the Colosseum Inlet, whose tidal flats are shallow enough for sheep to cross at low tide. The Bruce Highway and the North Coast railway line pass through the south-west, and the seaward parts lie within the Great Barrier Reef Coast Marine Park.
