About Thompson Point
Thompson Point is a coastal locality in the Livingstone Shire of central Queensland, where the Fitzroy River enters the Coral Sea. It was the site of the short-lived town and port of Broadmount, whose undeveloped townsite still lies on the northern bank of the river; the locality today is almost entirely uninhabited.
