About Tanby
Tanby is a rural locality in the Livingstone Shire of Central Queensland, situated approximately 11.6 kilometres south of Yeppoon and 42 kilometres north-east of Rockhampton. The Rockhampton-Emu Park Road passes through the locality, which is characterised by low-density residential properties and rural land holdings. A Benedictine monastery for nuns operates on Hannah Road and houses the Sophia Library, while the broader area provides easy access to Keppel Bay and Great Keppel Island for boating and fishing.
