About Causeway Lake

Causeway Lake is a coastal locality on the Capricorn Coast in the Livingstone Shire, named after the causeway and small bridge where the Scenic Highway crosses the lake's narrow entrance to the Coral Sea. The lake formed in the 1930s and is a popular spot for fishing, swimming and birdwatching, with parts of the locality falling within the Capricorn Coast National Park.
