About Struck Oil
Struck Oil is a rural locality in the Rockhampton Region, about 9 kilometres east-north-east of Mount Morgan on the western slope of the Crocodile Range. Named after an 1870s melodrama that was a hit in Australian mining towns, the area has a history of gold and copper mining and is now characterised by quiet grazing country.
