About Stanage

Stanage is a remote coastal town in the Livingstone Shire, located at the tip of the Torilla Peninsula where Broad Sound meets Shoalwater Bay on the Coral Sea. The area is a popular weekend retreat from Rockhampton, offering fishing, crabbing and boating in its sheltered waters. Parts of the eastern Shoalwater Bay coastline fall within the Shoalwater Conservation Park, and grazing on native vegetation is the primary land use beyond the residential areas.
