About Ogmore

Ogmore is a small former coal-mining town on the banks of the Styx River in Central Queensland's Livingstone Shire, roughly 150 kilometres north-west of Rockhampton. Originally named Harley, it was renamed after a Welsh mining town in 1933. The Styx mines operated from the 1920s until the 1960s, and today Ogmore is a quiet pastoral and coastal locality near Broad Sound.
