About Kunwarara
Kunwarara is a remote rural locality in the Livingstone Shire of Central Queensland, situated roughly 60 kilometres north-west of Rockhampton. The area is best known for one of Australia's largest magnesite deposits, mined by Queensland Magnesia and producing ore used in magnesia products for industrial applications. The landscape is characterised by open bushland and sedimentary terrain.
