About St Lawrence

St Lawrence is a small coastal town in the Isaac Region, midway between Mackay and Rockhampton and about 6 kilometres off the Bruce Highway. One of the oldest European settlements on the Queensland coast, it was established in the 1860s as a port for inland pastoral runs and the nearby goldfields. The St Lawrence Wetlands and annual Wetlands Festival are notable attractions.
