About Oakey Creek
Oakey Creek is a rural locality in the Rockhampton Region of Queensland, south of Mount Morgan, with the Burnett Highway passing through. The Dee River and the old Dawson Valley railway line cross the locality, which holds the heritage-listed remains of the Adolphus William Copper Smelter. Konara State School operated here from 1919 until 1927.
