About Walmul
Walmul is a rural locality in the Rockhampton Region of Queensland. Its name comes from the former Walmul railway station on the Dawson Valley railway line, assigned in 1911 and believed to be an Aboriginal word for koala. Walmul State School operated from 1927 to 1930.
