About Nandowrie
Nandowrie is a vast rural locality in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, about 66 kilometres west-south-west of Springsure. The Nogoa River forms the northern boundary and the Dawson Developmental Road passes through the locality, which supports cattle grazing on open grassland and scattered brigalow woodland. Squire and Nandowrie State Forests cover the mountainous terrain, and the area contains remnants of nationally endangered bluegrass downs ecosystems.
