About Buckland (Qld)

Buckland is a remote rural locality in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, on the western slope of the Great Dividing Range. Buckland Creek rises in nearby Carnarvon Park to the south-east and flows through to become a tributary of the Nogoa River, and Mount Sunday at 780 metres and Racehorse Mountain at 515 metres are notable peaks within the locality. The area is adjacent to Carnarvon National Park, known for its spectacular gorge and subtropical rainforest.
