About Gainsford
Gainsford is a rural locality in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, situated about 140 kilometres west of Rockhampton along the Capricorn Highway. Bounded by the Dawson River to the west and the Don River to the south, the area is used for cattle and sheep grazing on native vegetation, with the historic Gainsford pastoral property at its centre.
