About Baroondah
Baroondah is a vast rural locality in the Shire of Banana, Queensland, of remote cattle grazing country in the Maranoa region. The Dawson River enters the locality from the west and meanders east across the area, while the north and east lie within Belington Hut State Forest and the Expedition National Park. Ernest Henry established a sheep and cattle station called Baroondah on the Dawson River in 1860.
