About Arcadia Valley
Arcadia Valley is a remote pastoral locality between the Expedition and Carnarvon Ranges in Queensland's Central Highlands. Named by 1850s squatters after the Greek concept of quiet rural simplicity, it contains Lake Nuga Nuga, the largest natural lake in the Central Queensland sandstone belt, within Nuga Nuga National Park popular for bird-watching and canoeing.
