About White Rock (Cairns - Qld)
White Rock is a suburb of Cairns in the Cairns Region, Queensland, Australia. Located about 9.1 kilometres southwest of the Cairns CBD, the suburb is bounded by the Bruce Highway and North Coast Railway Line to the west, and by Skeleton Creek and Smiths Creek to the south and east. The area lies within the traditional country of the Yidinji people, and the name derives from a railway station named after a geographical feature in the Lamb Range. White Rock State School and Trinity Anglican School are located in the suburb.
