About Mount Sheridan (Qld)
Mount Sheridan is a residential suburb of Cairns in Far North Queensland, located 10 kilometres south-west of the Cairns central business district. Situated in Yidinji traditional Aboriginal country, the suburb is named after Mount Sheridan mountain in the Lamb Range to the west. The Bruce Highway and North Coast railway line form the eastern boundary. Mount Sheridan Plaza shopping centre at 106 Barnard Drive and Forest Gardens Shopping Village serve the community. Forest View Cemetery and the Cairns Crematorium are located within the suburb.
