About Wangetti
Wangetti is a coastal town on the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas in the Shire of Douglas. Most of the surrounding locality lies within Macalister Range National Park, part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and an important cassowary habitat. Hartley's Crocodile Adventures, one of Australia's first crocodile breeding facilities, is a well-known attraction here, and the Wangetti Trail offers walking and mountain biking along the coast.
