About Rocky Point (Douglas - Qld)

Rocky Point is a coastal rural locality in the Shire of Douglas, about 10 kilometres north-east of Mossman on the Coral Sea coast. Its easternmost feature is Dayman Point, a coastal headland named after Lieutenant Joseph Dayman of HMS Rattlesnake, with a breakwater and boat ramp providing access to the sea. The area is surrounded by tropical farmland and rainforest.
