About O'Briens Hill
O'Briens Hill is a small rural locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Queensland, about 8 km west of Innisfail, named after a pioneering O'Brien family who settled in the district. It is a tiny, sparsely settled suburb in the wet tropics between the Johnstone River valleys, an area long dominated by sugar cane growing.
