About Kirrama

Kirrama is a rural locality in the Tablelands Region of Far North Queensland, where the Herbert River forms part of the southern and western boundaries. Much of the locality lies within the Kirrama National Park, established in 2006, which protects rugged ranges, tropical rainforest and open eucalypt forest as part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The park is reached via the Kennedy Development Road south of Mount Garnet.
