About Murray Upper
Murray Upper is a rural locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Queensland, situated about 36 kilometres south-west of Tully. The Murray River rises in this mostly mountainous area, which lies within the Girramay National Park and Murray Upper State Forest, with small pockets of sugarcane and banana farming on the coastal flats.
