About Munro Plains
Munro Plains is a rural locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Far North Queensland, situated roughly 33 kilometres west of Tully. The landscape is characterised by fertile tropical lowlands used predominantly for sugarcane and banana growing, with the Jarum Conservation Park protecting remnant wet tropics vegetation in the south-east. A cane tramway runs through the locality transporting harvested sugarcane to the local mill.
