About Etty Bay
Etty Bay is a coastal village in the Cassowary Coast Region of Queensland, about 15 kilometres south of Innisfail and 7 kilometres from the Bruce Highway. Its 700-metre white-sand beach, backed by a tree-shaded reserve and steep rainforest slopes, is one of the best places in Australia to see the endangered southern cassowary, which regularly wanders onto the beach and through the adjoining caravan park. The beach has a surf lifesaving club and a stinger net for swimmers.
