About Djiru

Djiru is a coastal locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of far north Queensland, between the ranges and Bingil Bay near Mission Beach. Djiru National Park occupies most of the locality, protecting the lowland rainforest of the Wet Tropics; the park was renamed in 2009 after the Djiru Aboriginal people, the area's traditional owners.
