About Heathwood

Heathwood is an outer south-western suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, located approximately 23 kilometres south-south-west of the Brisbane CBD. The suburb was named after an early settler and was separated from Acacia Ridge in 1970. The Logan Motorway traverses Heathwood from west to east, dividing it into a residential area to the north and an industrial zone to the south. The south-western boundary is formed by Oxley Creek. Streets in Heathwood are named after native Australian flora and trees. The suburb is served by bus routes connecting to the Brisbane central business district.
