About Zillmere
Zillmere is a northern suburb of Brisbane, about 13 km from the CBD, with a roughly 60 per cent residential and 40 per cent industrial character. Originally inhabited by the Turrbal people and later settled by German farmers, the name derives from Lutheran missionary Johann Leopold Zillmann. The suburb is served by Zillmere railway station on the Shorncliffe Line and is close to Westfield Chermside.
