About Boondall
Boondall is a northern suburb of Brisbane, about 13.5 km from the city centre near Moreton Bay, roughly halfway between Brisbane and Redcliffe. Its name comes from an Aboriginal word meaning crooked creek or cunjevoi. Formerly part of Nudgee and known as College Hill, it was renamed Boondall in 1923. The suburb is best known for the Boondall Wetlands, an internationally significant reserve of more than 1,000 hectares on the Cabbage Tree Creek estuary.
