About Bald Hills (Qld)
Bald Hills is the northernmost suburb in the City of Brisbane, about 18 km north of the CBD, bounded by the South Pine and Pine Rivers to the west and north. Established in 1857 by Scottish settler families, it features the Tinchi Tamba Wetlands Reserve, the Bald Hills Flats cattle-grazing flood plain and is a transport hub where the Gateway Motorway and Bruce Highway converge. Radio transmission towers dating to 1942 and historic Presbyterian and Anglican churches are notable landmarks.
