Seven Hills is a residential suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, located eight kilometres east of the Brisbane GPO. Named after the Seven Hills of Rome, the suburb has seven hills each named after their Roman counterparts, with Roman street names incorporated in the 1925 subdivision. The Belmont Tramway serviced the southern edge from 1912 to 1926, followed by a trolley-bus service from 1953 to 1969. Seven Hills State School opened in 1960 and the suburb was gazetted on 1 June 2001. Seven Hills Bushland Reserve is a major recreational feature.
