About Durack (NT)

Durack is an inner-city suburb of Palmerston, Northern Territory, located about 22 kilometres southeast of the Darwin CBD. Named after the Durack family, pastoral pioneers who drove 7,500 cattle from Queensland to the Kimberleys in 1883-84, the area was originally reserved for a university before residential development began in the mid-1990s.
