About Pinbeyan
Pinbeyan is a sparsely settled locality in the Snowy Valleys Council area of New South Wales, in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains south-east of Tumut. In the 19th century the district was held as the pastoral runs of Pinbeyan and West Pinbeyan, squatters' cattle holdings on the upper Tumut River, with Pinbeyan listed in the Murrumbidgee pastoral district and held by A. J. S. Learmonth in the 1870s. Today the area is quiet grazing country with no township.
