About Long Plain (Snowy Monaro Regional - NSW)

Long Plain is an unpopulated high-country locality that lies entirely within the northern part of Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. It is a treeless subalpine frost plain above 1,300 metres at the source of the Murrumbidgee River, ringed by snowgum woodland and known for its historic mountain huts, including the century-old Long Plain Hut.
