About Terania Creek

Terania Creek is a locality in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, within the City of Lismore local government area and about 30 kilometres north of Lismore, near Nimbin. It is the site of the 1979 Terania Creek protests, Australia's first rainforest-logging blockades, which helped bring about the creation of Nightcap National Park in 1983 and its recognition as part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. Protesters Falls, in the national park, is reached from the locality.
