About Old Mill
Old Mill is a locality on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, near Stannifer. Originally known as Old Saw Mill, it developed during the tin boom of the 1870s. German settler Diedrich Staschen established a large orchard and vineyard in the area. Old Mill School opened in 1912 and served as a local hub. The area was part of the Tingha tin field, one of the largest tin-producing districts in New South Wales.
