Blue Vale is a small rural locality on the Liverpool Plains in north-western New South Wales, about twenty kilometres northwest of Gunnedah. The area is known for its rich, dark basalt soils that support broadacre cropping and grazing on an agricultural plain considered one of Australia's most productive.
