About Tooranie
Tooranie is a remote rural locality on the Murrumbidgee River floodplain in the lower Riverina of New South Wales, about 45 kilometres north-east of Balranald near the junction of the Murray and Darling rivers. The sparsely settled district of open plains and river red gum woodlands supports sheep and cattle grazing across its flat, semi-arid pastoral country.
