About Kyalite
Kyalite is a locality on the Wakool River in the Riverina region of New South Wales, within the Murray River Council local government area. It lies approximately 890 kilometres (550 mi) south-west of Sydney and 400 kilometres (250 mi) north-west of Melbourne. Originally known as Wakool Crossing, it grew around a punt service across the river established in about 1848 by Henry Talbett, and the Wakool and Edward rivers are renowned among anglers for Murray Cod.
