About Elrington
Elrington is a small rural locality in the Cessnock local government area of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. The landscape features rolling hills, farmland and significant areas of national park and nature reserve. The locality was historically the site of the Elrington Colliery, established by BHP in 1927 to supply coal to its Newcastle steelworks.
