About Belltrees

Belltrees is a rural locality in the Upper Hunter Shire of New South Wales, in the pastoral country along the Hunter River north of Scone. It is the site of the historic Belltrees estate, a land grant first taken up in 1831, later held by the explorer W.C. Wentworth, and owned by the White family since 1853. The heritage-listed Belltrees homestead, built in 1907, remains the centrepiece of the property, which was one of the great wool-growing estates of the Upper Hunter.
