About Woolooma
Woolooma is a rural locality in the Upper Hunter Shire of the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, located about 208 kilometres north of Sydney and 18 kilometres from Murrurundi. The landscape features rolling hills and grazing country characteristic of the Upper Hunter Valley, with sheep and cattle grazing across undulating terrain. The Woolooma name has historical significance as the original local government area proclaimed in 1906, later renamed Upper Hunter Shire in 1917, and the area sits in a dramatic valley surrounded by Liverpool Range mountains near the quality horse studs and pastoral properties of the Upper Hunter.
