About Oxley (Warren - NSW)
Oxley is a rural locality in the Orana region of New South Wales, on the Macquarie River about 76 km north of the town of Warren. It takes its name from Oxley Station, a large grazing property on the river at the edge of the Ramsar-listed Macquarie Marshes. The explorer John Oxley traced the course of the Macquarie River through the district in 1818.
