About Mount Foster

Mount Foster is a locality in central-western New South Wales, about 35 km north-east of Warren. The mountain of the same name was noted by explorer Charles Sturt during his 1828-29 expedition along the Macquarie River. The Mount Foster quarry supplies road-making materials for the Warren Shire. Aboriginal stone arrangements have been recorded in the area.
